Love color, hair painting, foil work to create dimensional color, color blocking, and Keratin smoothing treatments. Cutting edgy looks and detailing as well as texturizing is what I do! Have attended TIGI , Redken, Vidal Sassoon and Goldwell Academies in NYC and educate in salon as well.
I always say you must love what you do! I have had the honor to meet and work with our guests for the last 30 years! Working in the hair industry is really the best job ever!

Daily Must Haves: Exercise. Whether it be taking my pup Clark for a walk or taking a strength class at the health club , its my way of having a great start to my day.
Education Portfolio: This industry is much like any other profession, it is constantly changing. It is vital to stay current but also embrace practices from my 30+ years of experience.Perms are now referred to as Texture,they have evolved from “big Hair” to now a nice wave and body. I have had the opportunity to attend many advanced classes from cutting to color, and will be heading back to NYC this fall to attend 2 more classes.
Approach to my craft: I love all that I know about curly hair, it is very important to me that the curly hair client love their hair!

Go to products: The must have products I use are from the Ouidad line. It is designed for curls but anyone can benefit from them. They are water soluble and work incredibly well in the humidity and this summer was a great test!
Daily Inspiration: My inspiration is found in working with the clients. They may pull up a picture on Pinterest, etc… and we can discuss if the style will work with their hair type and how much time it will require to obtain the look. The goal is to have a style and color that will work with their lifestyle and understand the maintenance commitment.It is so much fun to see the transformation!

With more than 20 years experience in the beauty industry as an advanced educator, Master Artist and Makeup Artist, Gretchen holds herself to the highest standards. She prides herself on her attention to detail and special elements that make each look unique. “I always customize my work based on individual facial shape and stature.” “My philosophy is: you can have any length you want, as long as it is the right shape.” “I am always looking for inspiration and have an eye for upcoming trends as well as harnessing the classics.” Gretchen studied at Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in Santa Monica and feels privileged to have studied under some of the best mentors in the industry. She has studied at the “Harvard of Hair”, Bumble and Bumble University and became a Network Educator learning advanced skills to share with “the team”. Gretchen was also Creative Director for the esteemed Alexandre de Paris in the Metro DC area.
“I specialize in The Dry Cutting Technique as taught by John Sahag and Jaque Dessange; a technique that has revolutionized hair cutting. I also specialize in all types of color, color correction, and fantasy color. I have experience in editorial and film work.”

Along with meticulously a shaped haircut and color that grows out seamlessly, my guest will leave with a new look that is not only natural and versatile, but feels like them.

I have also had the opportunity to learn from and work with internationally renowned Goldwell Master Colorists, Stylists. And with over 18 years of education, and experience I have supported families of New England with quality services. Education portfolio: I earned a certificate from the Massage Therapy program at Nashua Community College. Prior to that I received my
diploma from Nashua High North. I currently receive my continuing education from the Associated Bodywork and
Massage Professionals (ABMP)
Approach to my craft: I listen twice as much as I speak. My approach to the clients needs are to be empathetic. Listening to
their problems as if they were my own in an attempt to gain more perspective.
Must have tool(s): One of my best tools to increase functionality and movement patterns throughout the body is Deep tissue massage.
Accompanying the treatment with Hot stone massage further enhances the session with heat to loosen up
adhesion’s and a smooth basalt stone that feels relaxing.
Go to products: The foam roller for self care. Often times I recommend this tool to help with back, hip, and leg tightness when
massage isn’t available.
