A visit to our salon should be one of anticipation and excitement, not stress or disappointment.  With a bit of inquiry, planning and preparation, you can be certain that your time at Innovations will be so enjoyable that you’ll be counting the days until your next visit with us.

Whether you’re scheduling an appointment for an event, or it’s just time for a change, you’ll want to ensure that you make the most of your visit with us.  Here are some salon basics to help you prepare for a terrific Innovations experience.

Selection of Services/Pricing Levels/Hair Designer
  • Check out our ‘Staff’ page for profiles on each designer.
  • Innovations hair design services are unique in that we provide our clients with options.  Our salon’s pricing structure offers our clients the opportunity to enjoy the Innovations experience at pricing levels that best suit their needs.   These levels are the result of the hair designer’s achievements, which are determined by their experience in our salon, knowledge of the business, level of advanced training they have received, and the client demand for their time and services.  Whatever level you seek, the Innovations team is confident that we will exceed your expectations and look forward to keeping your style on the cutting edge.
  • Prices listed are ‘starting prices’ and may increase when more product, time, or detailed work is required. Prices, like life are subject to change without notice.
  • Our #1 priority is ‘you’ and what fits your needs. Unlike other salons that lock you into one particular stylist, we are pleased when our clients feel comfortable to work with all members of our staff. Each member of our staff is State licensed and PADP Certified in each area (example: makeup, waxing, foiling, color, texture, etc..,) prior to offering that service to our clients. We work as a team. In the event that your regular stylist is not available, or you would simply like a fresh point of view, we welcome you to schedule with whomever you wish. This is also a key point when a stylist is promoted to the next level, and maybe the price increase is not within your budget. Please feel confident that you can see another stylist at a lower level and know that you will receive the same exact color formula and service, (all formulas, products, & special care notes are recorded in the salons computer) but at a lower price point.
Scheduling Appointments 
  • Walk-ins   Innovations can normally accommodate walk-ins, when no particular designer is requested. However, if you desire a particular designer, appointments are recommended. Typically, the higher ‘Designer Levels’ are only available by appointment.
  • Scheduling   Scheduling in advance really depends on the flexibility of your schedule. We always recommend that you schedule your next appointment prior to leaving. This will ensure that you have an appointment that works best with your schedule. Keep in mind that higher ‘designer levels’ book up weeks in advance. Many of our clients choose to pre-book for the entire year. This ensures that ‘your’ time slot will always be reserved for you.
  • Standing Appointments   If you would like a specific time, day, and week rotation for each appointment we can do it, for example:  every 4 weeks, on a Tuesday, at 5pm?    Not only can we do it…  We recommend it!  Our client management software enables us to put in your appointments based on the day, time, and # of weeks between visits. So you never have to ‘think’ about it. We can book out your appointments for the next 3, 6, 12, or more months.
  • Waiting List   If the designer you select is not available at the time you request, we would be happy to put you on our computerized waiting list. JUST ASK! In the event that another client needs to reschedule (which happens often), and an appointment becomes available, our computer will prompt us to call you. However, we do recommend that you go ahead and schedule an appointment at the first available time slot and then have your name added to the waiting list.
  • Reminders  If you are worried about forgetting your appointment…Don’t.  We’ll remind you. We will automatically confirm your services via phone 48 hours prior to your appointment.  Please be sure to keep us up to date on any phone # changes.  If for any reason we are unsuccessful in contacting you personally—please call us to ensure both you and your designer that there have been no changes.
  • Cancellations   Your appointment is reserved especially for you & your designer. If for any reason you need to reschedule, change, or cancel your appointment, please notify us with at least 4 business hours notice. This will enable us to offer that time to another client on the waiting list. We understand that unforeseen emergencies can arise, however, repeated ‘No Shows’ or continued last minute cancellations could result in us asking you to prepay for your future appointments.
  • Running Late   If you foresee that you may be late for your appointment, please call right away.  Our hair designers will make every effort to accommodate you.  However, it may be necessary to alter the scheduled service, see an alternate designer, or as a last resort, reschedule your appointment.
  • Children   We treasure our small clients, however to ensure a relaxing and safe atmosphere for ‘all’ of our clients, only children receiving services are permitted in the service area. In addition, if your child is under the age of 12 and is not having services, please make childcare arrangements or they may wait in the reception area with a supervising adult. 

Preparation For Your Visit

  • It is recommended for hair removal services (waxing), that the hair growth be at least ¼” in growth for optimum results.  If you are taking any type of dermalogical medication such as Acutane, Retina, etc. you should let the service provider know prior to your waxing service.
What to Expect During Your Visit
  • Cell Phones/Pagers   For the comfort of other clients, please turn your cell phone off, or to vibrate. Also, to allow your service provider to concentrate on your service and to avoid running late into the next scheduled appointment, please refrain from using your cell phone while you are being serviced.
Conclusion Of Your Visit
  • At-home Care   Quality, professional hair care requires quality professional maintenance. When used properly, you will only need a very small amount of product, costing you only pennies a day. Why pay top dollar for the perfect cut, color, or texture, only to turn around and use lower quality products? If you like the way your hair looks when you leave the salon, the only way to reproduce it is to ‘Do what we do, and use what we use’. Your stylist will recommend the professional products best for your hair type, condition and style.
  • Gratuity    A gratuity is not included in any of the salon or spa services / packages at Innovations.   However, please note that our staff’s single goal is to provide you with a spa experience that was everything you expected and more.   If we have accomplished that goal then please feel free to tip accordingly.
  • Referrals    Please do! In fact, for every first time client you give a referral too, we’ll give you 25,000 points.  That’s a $25 value!  Moreover, the individual you sent to us will also receive Innovations points.  Everyone wins!.   See your hair designer for more details.
